A train has derailed in Ghana’s capital Accra on Monday morning. Local news reports say scores have been injured but emergency services are yet to report at the scene.
The train was headed to the central business district from the eastern region town of Nsawam.
There are no deaths recorded yet.
This rail service is heavily patronised and has become the most efficient means of travel for many along its route.
But it’s unclear the level of maintenance of the coaches and rails, despite the huge patronage.
